Margi Connor & Michelle McKeever

Margi and Michelle are the cohosts of the podcast series "God in the Real World." They will speak on "Building Community in Baba."

Margi's devotion to Meher Baba can be seen in every aspect of her life. In her professional work, Margi is the Feminine Astrologer, blending astrology with a love of supporting women in their growth to bring her clients a better understanding of who they are and how to become who they want to be. Margi is a breath of fresh air for many - never shying away from the hard conversations and always bringing a sense of joy to the work she does. On the personal side, Margi is also a loving and dedicated mother to the most darling angel, Mani Vanessa, who will be two years old in December and is very much looking forward to her first NEG! Margi's love of Meher Baba has been a part of her life from the beginning and she is always excited to shout His name from the rooftops and share her love with others. Margi has played many integral roles in the Meher Center's Youth Sahavas and has been a part of the Leadership Team at the Young Adult Sahavas for many years. 

Michelle first heard of Meher Baba when she was 15 years old and will willingly admit that she came to Him like you would expect a teenager to - with moodiness, angst, and a good amount of eye-rolling. However, while teenage Michelle might've been too proud to open up about her love of Meher Baba, adult Michelle loves nothing more than talking about Baba and how He shows up in daily life. Throughout the past 18 years, Michelle's relationship with Baba has evolved into the foundation of her life - there is nothing more sacred to her than being in service and loving others. Michelle has been involved with the Meher Center's Youth Sahavas as both a coordinator and committee member of the event, blending her day-to-day work as an experiential educator in a PreK-to-12 school in Washington, DC with her spiritual work for teens seeking to learn more about Baba. In 2018, Michelle co-founded the Meher Center's Young Adult Sahavas with a small team to respond to the growing need for young adults to have a space to come together and share their experiences of Baba's love.

Margi & Michelle’s Podcast: In 2022, Margi was feeling a pull to hear more Baba stories and to engage in spiritual conversations in everyday life. On a whim, she picked up the phone and called Michelle, saying, "Hey, I really want to start this Baba podcast and I keep hearing your name in my head, so do you want to make a podcast with me?" And Michelle, who had just promised her therapist that she would not take on anything additional, given that it was a very busy time in her life, naturally said "YES!" And thus, God in the Real World was made. The podcast includes interviews with Baba lovers, storytelling, hot takes on spiritual concepts, and has been a source of joy for many. While podcast episodes are limited these days with motherhood (for Margi!) and work-life balance (for Michelle!), the energy of God in the Real World is still ongoing and the podcast will never fully be complete. This will be their second official joint speaking engagement, with their first being at the Meherana Spring Sahavas in 2024.
